Travel/trek/hike to Everest Base Camp on this adventure in the Himalayan Mountains.Explore the unique cultural locations and challenge yourself in the highest mountains in the world.Everest Base camp is one of the classic treks in Nepal and starts with an exhilarating 35 minute mountain flight into the airstrip at Lukla. This flight provides a unique and breathtaking perspective over the fertile middle hills with their scattered villages and terraced fields with an amazing panorama of the Himalaya as a backdrop. Situated high above the banks of the DudhKoshi Rivers Lukla is already a scenic village with beautiful mountains surrounding them. From Lukla the trek goes slowly upwards to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, following the valley of the DudhKoshi River.Just before Namche Bazaar one can enjoy the first glimpse of Everest far in the skyline on the Nuptse-Lotse ridge. Namche bazaar is a great place to learn about the Sherpa culture and their life along with the Tibetan people.Moving forward from Namche bazaar the trail follows the valley of the Imja Khola with some spectacular views of the mountains including Thamserku,Kangtega and Ama Dablam as well as Everest on the skyline. We visit Tengboche Buddhist monasteries which are one of the most significant monasteries of the region, after Tengboche the trek route climbs gradually through Pangboche and emerges above the tree line,we stay 2 nights at Dingboche before we set forward for our final challenge to ascend Kalapatthar. Kalapatthar has a vantage point that gives a fantastic view of the Ice Fall and South Col as well as the immense southwest face of Everest that was first climbed in 1975 by Chris Bonington's team. After the successful ascent to Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar we follow the trail to Namche bazaar and eventually to Lukla for our return flight to Kathmandu.

The trek to Everest Base Camp takes place in the highest wildlife reserve in the world, the Sagarmatha National Park.It covers an area of 1,148 of Himalayan ecological zone. The park's altitude ranges from 2,845 meters at Monju to Mount Everest at the top of the world.UNESCO listed the park as a World Heritage Site in 1979 for its unique natural cultural and landscape characteristics.A trek in this region takes one to the foothills of the mightiest of the mountains in the world.During the trek one traverses through rhododendron and pine forests, across rivers,Sherpa villages and Buddhist Monasteries from temperate to snow-filled regions.Reach the legendary Everest Base Camp on this once in a lifetime adventure.
